Thank you for your interest in me and my glass art beads!
My interest in lampwork beads actaully started with doing stained glass. I spent a few years making small stained glass pieces and panels. From there I began creating stained glass windchimes all strung with pieces of glass and beads. While shopping for different kinds of beads, I started noticing all the artistic beads created by individual lampwork artists and realized what little pieces of art they were. They were very different than the mass produced beads. The more I kept looking at them the more I wanted to try my hand at it.
I took my first introductory class in July 2003 and I was hooked! My husband helped me get set up in a little room to use as my 'studio' and from there things evolved. There's always new things to learn and try, with quite an array of techniques, glass, products and tools to work with. It is never ending what you can do and learn.
Besides the glass beadmaking, I have worked part time in a hair salon for the past 25 years.
